I’ve added the Toshi Yoshida woodblock print Bamboo Garden, Hakone Museum raised seal edition to the gallery (well actually, thats re-added it, I had a problem with the gallery plugin and had to drop a few of the images).
This print is in excellent condition and is one of my favourite oban sized prints by this artist. See the Toshi Yoshida signature comparison post for details (with examples) about the raised seal woodblock print editions and the other signatures which appear on his prints. Please note that the ‘rules’ in that post are my personal ones – I cannot guarantee that they will be 100% foolproof.
One advantage with collecting Toshi Yoshida prints as opposed to many other artists is that its pretty easy to tell what your buying – lifetime vs posthumous -the only thing you can’t tell is what year it was produced.
