In my previous post (https://www.japaneseartsgallery.com/2011/07/04/three-toshi-yoshida-woodblock-prints-added/) I noted that the Toshi Yoshida Irozaki woodblock print series consisted of three woodblock prints. I’ve since found that this is not correct and that there are actually four woodblock prints in the series. The four woodblock prints were produced from the same keyblock but with different colour schemes to reflect the different time of day they represent.
The four woodblock prints in the Yoshida Irozaki series are:
Irozaki – Morning (available at auction on Artelino – as at 1st August 2011)
Irozaki – Day (shown in the gallery)
Irozaki – Afternoon (for sale at Floating World)
Irozaki – Evening (shown in the gallery)
